December 2016, Week 5: Ranobir Mitra Basunia with Dew

December 2016, Week 4: Flower

Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Lens: 100mm
ISO: 100
F/stop: F3.5
Shutter: 1/20 sec
Notes:
Although Jeremy employed a wide open aperture causing a great deal of the flower to be out of focus, it adds to the photo as the tip of the flower (the focus point) is in perfect focus.
December 2016, Week 3:
Camera: Nikon D700
Lens: 105.0 mm f/2.8 VR
ISO: 1250
F/stop: f/11
Shutter: 1/250 sec
Stephan’s Description:
Dortmund, Germany. Handheld, no flash. There is not very much more to say about this picture. It was a nice day in the park and I thought it was a good opportunity to take some macros outdoor.
December 2016, Week 2:
Camera: Canon EOS 7D
Lens: 100 mm Canon Macro
ISO: 100
F/stop: f/13
Shutter: 1/200 sec
Izak’s Description:
Was never happy with the magnification I got from a normal 100 mm macro lens. Started experimenting with an extension tube and was able to get in real close to this dragonfly. Photo was taken with a ring flash with a plastic coke bottle bottom cutout over the ring of the flash to help with light diffusion.
